Susan Kreemer Pickford is the Engineers Australia General Manager Western Australia and Principal Engineer. She graduated in Scotland with a civil engineering degree and emigrated to Australia in 1999. She worked in a global consulting firm in project manager and project director roles before transitioning to a senior client management and business development role. An Engineering Executive and Fellow of Engineers Australia, Susan started with the organisation in 2015.

Jodey Brockhurst is active in cultural change and innovation to achieve a low carbon economy. A degree in mechatronics engineering, she has over 10 years’ experience delivering projects for multinational enterprises. John Hollmann is author of “Project Risk Quantification” (2016) and lead author of AACE® International’s TCM Framework (2006). He owns Validation Estimating, LLC and works with clients in a variety of industries to improve their cost engineering practices; i.e., estimating, risk quantification, project control, etc. Mr. Hollmann is a frequent speaker at conferences, has written many papers, and is very active in developing AACE® International recommended practices. I am a professor of the Civil Engineer department at the Universidad Industrial de Santander, Colombia. My bachelor degree is in Civil Engineering and I earned my PhD (2013) from the University of Alabama, USA. My dissertation focused on construction project predictability, joined to the CII Research project RT 291, of the Construction Industry Institute titled Improving the Predictability of Accurate Project Outcomes. I am an associated researcher of the Colombian Research Classification System. I am the Education Director of the AACE Colombian section. My teaching expertise and research interests are about a) analysis and improvement of construction process management processes; b) analysis and improvement of control systems for construction projects; and c) analysis and improvement of methodologies for teaching and learning in construction engineering.

Ahmed has dealt with arbitration cases as a contract and delay analysis expert for more than 3 years in Egypt. Ahmed is fellow in the chartered institute of Arbitrators. Val is a highly skilled risk management expert, with extensive experience of training, facilitating and implementing project, programme, product and business risk management systems for government and industry in the UK, EMEA, North America and APAC regions.

With more than 30 years’ experience working with large organisations, Val has a wealth of practical experience and vision for how they can improve business performance through risk management framework and good practice. Gareth Byatt is an independent Risk and Resilience consultant based in Sydney, with more than 20 years of experience in risk management, resilience and project management. Michelle Banner, Project Controls Solutions (Global) Ltd Principal Project Controls Trainer, has more than 20 years’ experience in the infrastructure, nuclear, utilities, and various other industries. She is recognized as a technical expert in her specialism of Planning and Risk along with having a substantial background in cost and estimating.

Michelle is experienced in delivering EPC, R&D and Engineering contracts for infrastructure, utilities and nuclear. Michelle is experienced in delivering EPC, R&D and Engineering contracts for infrastructure, utilities and nuclear. Lance Stephenson is a senior leader and manager with over 35 years of experience in the operational, capital portfolio and project delivery environment, where he has worked for the owner, engineer and constructor. Lance is a dynamic and results-oriented individual where he always enjoys a good challenge.

Based on Lance’s years of experience and education in the operational and capital project delivery environment, Lance has provided direction in the areas of organizational design, process improvements, auditing, maturity assessments and the development and implementation for improved capital portfolio and project effectiveness.

Lance is a contributing member of the Technical Board for AACE International and is a Certified Cost Professional, a Project Management Professional and certified Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Lance’s past roles include director, senior manager, supervisor, PM / CM, specialist, analyst, foreman, tradesman, and life-long learner & practitioner. Lance is currently the Director of Operations for AECOM.

Manuel Alejandro Rodriguez Suarez, M.E., is a Civil Engineer who has a Master’s degree in Project Management from the University of Guanajuato, a Master’s degree in Valuation of Industrial Real Estate from the Technological Construction Institute, and has a specialty in Economics in Construction from the University of Guanajuato. He is also currently studying a Doctorate in Business Management and Administration. He is certified as a cost engineer by the Mexican Society for Economic Engineering and Costs.

Currently, he is the president of the XXVI National Directive Board of the Mexican Society for Economic Engineering and Costs and the Past president of the Civil Engineering College in Valle de Santiago, Guanajuato, Mexico. He is also the National Coordinator for Cost Engineering in the National Directive Board in the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry, where he is working on implementing the Mexican Center for Cost Engineering. In addition to this, he participates in the Coordination Work Group of Mexican Norms for Costs Engineering in the Construction Industry and He is also the National Coordinator for Cost Engineering in the Federación Mexicana de Colegios de Ingenieros Civiles.

He has given conferences in Bolivia, Colombia, Honduras, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, and the Dominican Republic in different universities, and national and international conferences, and also conferences for chapters of the International Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) of Latin America.

Vivek is a project management professional working in the Construction Industry spanning over 30 years. Vivek has held senior positions with the prominent contracting, consulting companies in the UAE, USA, KSA, Oman and India.

An expert in construction, project and programme management, he has supported iconic projects worldwide of value ranging from a few million to tens of billions of dollars. His expertise in the change management, risk management, claims and dispute resolutions, and in complex negotiations has helped projects in better financial outcomes. His experience also includes all aspects of project controls, cost and schedule control, project and programme procedures, risk avoidance and mitigation, contract drafting and subcontract management.

He has successfully led restructuring assignments to turn around projects and big contracting companies to bring them back to being profitable. He is also a certified Six Sigma Champion and Six Sigma Black Belt and has delivered multiple projects to enhance performance, reduce waste (i.e. cost) and improve production in the build environment.

He is a bachelor in Industrial Engineering from one of the most prominent engineering college of the world - Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and is an MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University.

Larry Farrell joined Alternus in 2019 as Vice President of Operations excited by the company’s plans for growth and at the prospect of getting involved in one of the fastest growing industries across Europe. With over 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles across production, operations project and service delivery management, in both startups and Fortune 500 companies, he was tasked to drive the company’s operational expansion across Europe.

Prior to joining Alternus he was Senior Director of Global Operations at Xerox, focusing on remote application delivery, developing support systems and infrastructure for Xerox Managed Services clients.

Larry holds qualifications in Management and Mechanical Engineering; he also graduated TU Dublin Bolton Street with diplomas in printing and graphic communication. He is ITIL and Lean Six Sigma certified.

Larry recently assumed the role of Chief Information Officer to further support the company’s target of increasing the current installed base to over 3.5 Gw by 2025. Simultaneous real-time management and status reporting of multiple projects across multiple jurisdictions will be key to this success.
