Project management during the pandemic was challenging for some organisations, especially as remote work was required without prior planning, leading to changes in working patterns and considering new methods for completing projects.

In recognition of this, the Asia-Pacific Project Controls Expo Awards decided to honour such organisations and teams whose contribution to the industry has been exceptional in the last year, by creating a brand-new category called Asia-Pacific Project Controls During Covid Times.

This award is to acknowledge such organisations whose project/programme were innovative, transformative, or had a major social impact.

Finalists for this category were recently announced with the shortlist as follows:

  • AJM-JV Regional Transport Upgrade Programme - AJM-JV
  • The Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group Project Controls - Department of Defence
  • South Geelong to Waurn Ponds Duplication - nPlan and RPV (Rail Projects Victoria)
  • A mega project controls team setup and implementation during COVID 19 – Case study: Inland Rail - Turner and Townsend

Winners for this and the other seven categories will be announced at the official awards’ ceremony taking place at Melbourne Cricket Ground on Tuesday, 29th November 2022.
