This year the project controls most prestigious awards’ competition continued to grow, with an exceptional number of entries received from around the globe. On Thursday 1st September a total of 26 finalists were announced for the Global/UK Project Controls Expo Awards 2022.
With a fantastic calibre of shortlisted organisations and individuals across a total of 8 categories, this year’s celebration of success is a not-to-be-missed social event for the professional community. Taking place at the iconic Wembley Stadium on Tuesday, 15th November 2022.

UK Project Management/Project Controls Apprentice of the Year:
This particular category placed focus on the positive contribution the apprentice has made to the progression of the project, other junior members of the project and the overall team.

In this category, the judges were looking for the ways in which consultancies operate as a project controls specialist organisation, either in full or in part support of other organisations.

Global Project Controls Innovation of the Year:
Looking to recognise the use of innovation within project controls (encompassing projects, programmes or portfolios) and to see how its wider use within organisations and society contributed to successful change.

Global Project Controls Megaproject of the Year:
Our judges were looking for the stories behind these megaprojects. The judging criteria put greater emphasis on the challenges as well as outputs and outcomes of the project, whilst recognising the essential role that the project controls’ toolkit and techniques have in delivering success.

Global Project Controls Professional of the Year:
This was all about passion, determination, and contribution behind the person’s work. The judges were looking for the all-round positive contribution the project controls’ professional made to the business through outputs and outcomes of their respective projects.

UK Project Controls Social Impact of the Year:
This category was looking on the evidence of the great and complex social impact ‘programmes’ being delivered in the UK across all sectors, that are designed to change lives, make society more effective, communities more connected and ultimately change futures.

Global Project Controls Transformation Project of the Year:
Judges were looking for the outputs and outcomes of the organisational and cultural transformation change whilst acknowledging the essential role that the project management controls and techniques have in delivering success.

Global Project Controls Lifetime Achievement Award:
The Award will go to a professional who is recognised by our community as a major contributor to maturing one or more aspects of the professionalism of project controls practice. A “go to” person for the project controls community for advice and inspiration as an educator and mentor.
