What an incredible few days at the Project Controls Expo USA! Speaking with planners and project teams, we heard firsthand about the real challenges they face: juggling unpredictable site delays, reconciling inconsistent progress updates, navigating fragmented communication across teams, and constantly firefighting instead of planning proactively. Many shared how small schedule hiccups ripple across projects, creating stress and inefficiency, while senior planners often spend hours on admin instead of solving complex problems.

Wow, what a day! It was a real pleasure to be part of the Project Controls Expo USA 2025 in Washington DC, supporting a growing talent like Khushboo Kanani, who brilliantly walked the audience through a comprehensive #RiskManagement process for Capital Projects. I am truly grateful for her invitation to mentor and collaborate on this presentation, as well as for the opportunity to share knowledge, complement her technical approach with my own experience developing this topic, and provide a holistic perspective on Risk Management, connecting it with the strategic asset management principle defined by AACE International TCM Framework, supported by many Recommended Practices related to this discipline.Special thanks to Toscano Clements Taylor Cost Consultants for the continuous support, for encouraging professional development and knowledge sharing within our team!!!  Always a pleasure to contribute to our industry’s collective growth… from risk intelligence to project performance excellence.

Just returned from Project Controls Expo USA 2025 — and I’m leaving energized. This year’s event wasn’t just about project controls — it was about velocity, intelligence, and the fusion of people and AI in shaping the future of delivery. Key Takeaways: AI isn’t the future — it’s the new normal Thought leadership still matters — it’s just accelerated Change is happening in the field, not just in PowerPoint Great consultants evolve, not disappear Excited to bring this momentum back into our team, our clients, and our next chapter of innovation.
